1) How did you get into racing? Working in a bike shop I rode with a bunch of the guys on the team and figured - why not, I can do this – and it kind of took off from there.
2) What is your favorite riding discipline and place to ride? My favorite discipline is Downhill Mountain Bike Racing in Plattekill NY. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had on a bike: as fast as you want to go and you get back on the lift to catch a ride up and do it all over again, all day long, well, until your step brother takes 12 stitches to his knee, whoops.

1) How did you get into racing? Four years ago, rented a mtb (rigid, 26er) to join some chicks doing this dirt riding thing in Middle Run - sounds fun. After riding off a one sided-bridge, I was hooked. Witnessing the post-race fun plus the kicking in of my competitive juices led me to racing.
2) What is your favorite riding discipline and place to ride? Mtb at Wissahickon and Shenandoah = awesomeness; Brandywine is my fav locale go-to.

1) How did you get into racing? After 10 years of competitive golf, I got bored and burned out and was introduced to mountain biking. I soon met some members of bike racing teams who encouraged me to race…framing it as an opportunity to ride new trails. After winning some beginner races, I was hooked. I’ve been racing ever since.
2) What is your favorite riding discipline and place to ride? I really can't choose. I love riding off road with the sense of accomplishment I get when I overcome an obstacle or a technical section. I really enjoy riding Wissihickon, especially in the fall foliage. I also really enjoy ‘Cross: the progress I'm making and the scene at the race weekends with the cheering, music, food, and beer.

Then I tried my first XC race when I was 16 (the Hibernia Spring Bash in Wagontown, PA). After that I was hooked, and determined to get faster and to make it through a race without throwing up.
